CIVIL CONSTRUCTION
Specialising in the construction of roads, bulk earthworks and the installation of services such as sewerage, water and storm water reticulation, Makhathini Projects division develops and delivers high quality residential and industrial infrastructure. The division caters for property developments, industrial parks, mines, plants, and more.
Road Building
Makhathini Projects makes use of a dedicated civil engineering team who use state of the art equipment to ensure correct grading and control water run-off and wash boarding are implemented. We undertake road building work on industrial, commercial and residential projects with a high set standard performed on every project. The diversity of our projects includes a complete range, from highways, road improvements, parking lots to runway construction.
Sewerage
We are capable of providing water and sewerage services. As experts in the installation and design of water and sewerage systems, we will help ensure that water pipes are laid to the correct specifications and are able to manage the groundworks, installation and pressure testing. We also install sewerage pumping mains, rising mains, pump stations and treatment plants. We have a knowledgeable team of engineers who will ensure that each project goes as smooth as possible. Health and Safety are also very important to Makhathini, therefore, we will produce risk assessments and method statements in advance before any work is done. .
Stormwater
We provide high-quality stormwater services to ensure a safe stormwater and drainage environment by providing stormwater infrastructure development and maintenance.
Earthwork Construction
Makhathini typical earthworks consist of roads, railway beds, causeways, dams, levees, canals and beams. Other common earthworks are land grading to reconfigure the topography of a site or to stabilise slopes. Our construction engineers will work closely with you to establish the most appropriate construction methods and procedures, consistent with the specification, in order to obtain an acceptable product at the least cost. To ensure this is achieved, a key factor which we implement is competent testing and monitoring during construction. The end goal is to make the final facility adhere as closely to the designers intent.
